My name is Dennis Mahon and I’ve been working with the NAV community since 2001 when hired to solve a failed implementation of Navision 2.1 for a Slot Machine manufacturer.
I’ve worked with all versions of Navision to Microsoft Dynamics NAV up to now Microsoft Dynamics D365 Business Central for various types of business primarily manufacturers: Slot Machines, Graphic Designs, B2B with commercial aviation, roadway & highway signs and last converting a company that had 23 factories 360 production lines manufacturing plastic bottles of all types, shapes, sizes and colors running Navision 1.2 (Not a typo) to BC 18 with a go live date on the same date for all locations.
Before getting into NAV, I wrote two ERP packages from scratch of which one dealing with logistics I sold in 38 countries meaning, I wrote the package, sold it, installed it, modified it and trained the staff on how to use it with very early EDI with no internet.
I founded the Chicago and Delaware Valley (Philadelphia) NAV User Group Chapters and currently the chapter leader to Atlanta NAVUG chapter and co-chair of the new Microsoft Atlanta Area D365 and Power Platform Group.
Before getting involved with computers and business applications, I served 10 years with the U.S Navy serving on 4 aircraft carriers performing flight deck / crash operations, air rescue and ran a military prison in Philadelphia for 2 years.
Received several degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science.
